Illumeri is an audiovisual light installation that visualizes the interplay between harp and oboe.
Twelve spherical wedge-shaped lampshades form a circle. At its center, two musicians are positioned with their instruments.
Audiovisual Concept
The installation is based on a semitone circle, consisting of the twelve notes of the Western tonal system. Each note that sounds is represented by one of the luminaires—the harp in blue and the oboe in yellow light. Three light sources inside the lampshades indicate the instruments' low, middle, and high octave ranges.
Color Mixing
When the harp and oboe play the same note simultaneously, individual color gradients emerge through the additive mixing of both colors, corresponding to their respective pitches.
Together, the twelve spherical wedges form a complete sphere: an Earth, divided along its meridians, whose sum of parts forms a whole.
